Heart of Ice Dress

I did a "hold" yesterday on the progress of the suit jacket of January and I decided to dress quickly to follow the path of Sew Weekly this week.

I had completely forgotten how much fun it is to work on a commercial pattern, this dress is made from a Burda magazine November 1994, I have in my stash a collection of Burda magazines from time immemorial, always collects this since I was a teenager, love patterns of this magazine, are one hundred percent reliable and fit perfectly to my body.

A few hours yesterday afternoon were enough to copy the patterns, cut fabric and assemble the dress for a test, there was nothing to rectify except cut the hem of the skirt an inch and the decision to opt for short sleeves in place long sleeve  that offers the original dress.
While I was sewing the dress I noticed the beautiful color of the fabric, it's a beautiful blue that reminded me of the ice, the fabric is a beautiful dream to sew, easy to handle and easy to iron, could you ask for? ?
At first I was going around to the way the pattern has a few strips of fabric in contrasting colors for the neck, sleeves and hem of the union of the pieces on the bias of the hips, I thought they cut a curtain beige color fabric left over from a jacket years ago.
At some point I remembered I was in a box in my sewing corner of a strip of trimmings on organdy embroidered with hearts, so I searched frantically and luck smiled when I realized that the colors were perfectly matched to the fabric.
So this dress is called "Heart of Ice. "

From there everything else was fun .....

I made this crochet shawl about ten years ago, I think this dress is perfect to wear it. If anyone wants the pattern crochet shawl just ask ...

My favorite photographer is becoming more artistic photos, he was really inspired today, so just enjoy the pictures ...

Beautiful sunset on this side of the Atlantic Ocean ....
