A blouse with a fabulous fabric

Photobucket
And so I looked for some time and finished this blouse yesterday....
In fact, this blouse is the first part of the film project in August, two posts further back ...and also becomes part of the challenge this week at Sew Weekly, whose foundation was a fabric sewing something wonderful, so here it is, this is a good way to take advantage of circumstances and address the seam to take the time to the maximum.
Photobucket
The fabric used is a wonderful satin silk with   designs of paisley, love it! The only problem is that it wrinkles just by looking at it ...
Photobucket
I did not use any commercial pattern for this blouse, it's a very basic, simply add some special touches to get the look of the blouse shown in the movie, so I sewed a blouse line, without notching and after it I finished all the remaining tissue collected around the waist with darts.
Photobucket Photobucket
I also added some folds on the sleeve to get the effect of the 40s look, although I noticed that the blouse shown in the film does not have these, however, I very much wanted this sleeve so elegant.
Photobucket
The detail of the sleeve cuffs, I used a tiny piece of fabric bias binding for the opening of the fist, so the sleeve is completely feminine and classic.
So a few photos of me wearing the shirt to check the fitFor now, I will not use it until I sew the pants worn by the complete outfit in the film, which will be the next piece in my cutting table ....

Oh, my God, I love those sleeves so puffy! I'm completely pleased with them ...
Photobucket
I'm wearing the skirt I sewed here ....      And the brooch of the blouse that I made here...
Well ... continue with the rest of the outfit ... or what is the same .. the pants ...
  Happy week!

  2. I think that's what's also called brocade... I used some black brocade recently but fortunately it wasn't wrinkling at all! It looks lovely on white, so flow-y!
